The mask_sse unit test now contains the testFloat8GatherMask test. And it 
passes on all my test system (this includes a GCC 4.5.1 installation).

So this is a little more complicated. We can try the following:
You build the current (working) code and send me the source file in question 
as well as the binary. Then you change "static_cast<sfloat_m>(dnMask)" back to 
"dnMask" and compile again and give me that binary as well.
